I Am

I am someone who loves my children
I wonder why my children are growing and will soon be gone
I see my children becoming adults
I hear them calling my name
I want to know will they be ok today, tomorrow, or in the years to come
I am someone who cares for my children
I pretend I'm glad to see them go as I weep
inside
I feel the pressure of being the perfect parent
I touch my children and cherish them
I worry that I will never see my children again
I cry for my children when they are hurt
I am someone who loves my children
I understand that they will be gone someday
I teach them moral values
I dream they will always be my little children forever
I try to do the best I can
I hope that I will see them again soon
I am a Mother who loves my children
