Sexual Molestation
Patsy Shelton- The Word of the Lord Today

Barb submitted the following word and poem. To those of you that were molested as , as I was, and as many others have been, the Lord will make you whiter than snow. If you will forgive the person that molested you, His blood will wash away the shame, guilt and embarrassment, and you will be pure, holy, and righteous.

If you need some help walking through the healing process, please email me, and we will pray.

INCEST

Sexual molestation within the family is nothing new. It seems people think it is a new thing because people today feel more free than ever to talk about what happened in their past (or their present) to explain why they have become the people they are. God clearly stated in Leviticus 18:6-17 that there was to be no sexual intercourse between family members.

Leviticus 18:6-18 (Amp)
None of you shall approach anyone close of kin to him to have sexual relations. I am the Lord. The nakedness of your father, which is the nakedness of your mother, you shall not uncover; she is your mother; you shall not have intercourse with her. The nakedness of your father's wife you shall not uncover; it is your father's nakedness. You shall not have intercourse with or uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father or of your mother, whether born at home or born abroad. You must not have sexual relations with your son's daughter or your daughter's daughter; their nakedness you shall not uncover, for they are your own flesh. You must not have intercourse with your father's wife's daughter; begotten by your father, she is your sister; you shall not uncover her nakedness. You shall not have intercourse with your father's sister; she is your father's near kinswoman. You shall not have sexual relations with your mother's sister, for she is your mother's near kinswoman. You shall not have intercourse with your father's brother's wife; you shall not approach his wife; she is your aunt. You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law; she is your son's wife; you shall not have intercourse with her. You shall not have intercourse with your brother's wife; she belongs to your brother. You shall not marry a woman and her daughter, nor shall you take her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter to have intercourse; they are [her] near kinswomen; it is wickedness and an outrageous offense.

Also I would like to add what Solomon said:

Ecclesiastes 1:9
The thing that has been--it is what will be again, and that which has been done is that which will be done again; and there is nothing new under the sun.

It is not any worse to find this sin in families than to find alcoholism. Sexual sins bring shame and deep rooted pain that can only be removed by the One who came to heal the brokenhearted to make us whole again. That is the good news Jesus spoke of in this passage:

Luke 4:15-19 (amp)
And He Himself conducted a course of teaching in their synagogues, being recognized and honored and praised by all. So He came to Nazareth,  that Nazareth] where He had been brought up, and He entered the synagogue, as was His custom on the Sabbath day. And He stood up to read. And there was handed to Him [the roll of] the book of the prophet Isaiah. He opened (unrolled) the book and found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity], To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord the day  when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound.

It all begins with the Truth that God can work miracles as long as you receive the truth.... that He not only wants to... but He can.

UNCLE NICKY

She was beaten and bruised most of her young life, All she knew was pain and strife.
Like an anchor around her neck hung a crucified Christ given to her by Uncle Nick.

Her mama's brother, yes he was, Nick was her mama's biggest love,
For some odd reason he could always bring a smile to Mama's face, it was the weirdest thing.

To Mass, they would always go, to worship a god she did not know.
Into the confessional would Uncle Nick walk, to look religious and talk the talk.

She knew he would never tell the Father what he was doing to his sister's daughter.
Her mama would enter that confessional too but when she departed she never felt new.

He lived with them all her life, he treated her mom like she was his wife,
because her dad left you see, all because of her Uncle Nicky.

He left before it all began left her alone with this evil man,
his young daughter, his unbearable wife To be free and live another life

This necklace Nick gave her on birthday sixteen, They both told her to wear it because she was unclean.
That night was like all the rest, The hour of 12 she began to detest.

She decided one night that this would be a different night for Uncle Nicky.
When she heard the creak of the old wooden floor She made up her mind not anymore,
She decided to fight till she had no more breath She no longer cared, she longed for death.

She reached for a gun and started to pray, she said I have heard of you God, are you real or clay?
I see you in pictures in large window panes but never once have I called out your name.

I call on you now to please intervene, because Lord there will be a bloody scene.
It will change life forever for better or worse, but in just awhile one of us will leave in a hearse.

At once everything changed that night, everything changed without a fight,
Just when she thought all was lost, she understood just what it cost.
Jesus paid the price for her to be free To live for Him was her destiny.

She didn't know how nor she didn't know why, but she knew right now He would not let her die.
So as this dear one prayed, the Crucified Christ showed her the way.

He showed her His mercy, He showed her his grace He gave her a miracle, as she sought his face
He purified her, He cleaned her heart Gave her life a brand new start.

She heard the knock upon her door she put away the gun and crossed the floor
she opened the door and there she saw A man she once called her pa.

She looked at him with tears in her eyes He said your mother has told you lies
I have been to court a hundred times I have spent all my money down to the last dime

I was beginning to think that you were lost forever Your mother and Nick had been so clever
I realized all I had left was to pray so I bowed down on my knees this very day,
just moments ago, not even an hour I prayed and prayed for God to show His power as I did, I saw the strangest things two of them stood there with what appeared to be wings

They had a message to me from God said the door would be open and not think it odd
to go on in and take her away, because she has given her heart to a God.... not made out of clay.
