A Prayer for Families

======================

Lord God, we do thank you once again for the miracle of time that you have done and are continuing to do in Bonnie Diane’s heart and life. We have seen both the attacks of the enemy as well as the delivering hand of the Lord.

And we agree in prayer for all of our children today. Lord, we love your prophetic word. We love your prophetic song. We love and receive your prophets. And as parents, we bring our children unto you. For you are their protector. We try as parents, but ultimately, they are in your hands, oh Lord.

We thank you for the miracles you are performing in our kids’ lives and we pray now that others who have heard of God’s renewing power receive faith in their hearts right here and now, that it is never too late. I said it is never too late. For you are their Father from the beginning of time. They belong to you and they are yours and they will follow your footsteps. Our children will receive the blessings of the Lord. They shall be taught of your Holy Spirit. They shall be taught how to pray. They shall be brought into the deep things and secrets of the Kingdom, for your purposes in their lives.

And we claim the prophetic words spoken over them. We claim the inner dreams we have received for them and we read them back now again to you. Our sons shall live right before the Lord. They shall not go the way of the sinners, but shall return to the God of their youth. Our daughters shall bend their knees and bow their hearts low before the Lord.

The enemy is not going to be victorious over our children. Yea, the battle is indeed fierce at times, and our hearts do become heavy and our emotions and bodies grow weary, but you, dear God, pick us up and carry us in your arms. And you carry our children and our teenagers and our young adults in your arms. And you never shall forget them, but you are ever faithful, even in the most extreme of circumstances. You as their father call out to them, and they shall hear and they shall respond and the enemy shall not win.

And Father God, we also come together and agree in prayer for finances. Many across this nation and around the world are going through tough times. And we come together as one body and we say, “Lord, all we have belongs to You!” Help us to meet our bills and take care of our needs and give as you ask. Lord, help the fathers out of work, many for the first time in their lives. We ask for angels of the job market to come and direct and lead.

Lord, for those in single income households, we pray for wisdom, favor of the Lord, help in times of need. Lord, I thank you that Little Don looked in his wallet and said, “Mommy, you don’t have to pay for my lunch tickets; I have six dollars. I can buy 2 tickets.” And Johnathan said, “Mom, I don’t even have to buy a ticket; I’ll eat crackers!” Lord, thank you for giving sons. Bless them. And how many times have we seen them stick their hands in their own little pockets and pull out a dollar and some change and put it in the offering, sometimes all that they have. They have given unto you.

God, I ask that the angels of remembrance would bring forth the book of the Lord, and read of the accounts of the giving of your people. Lord, your Church gives. God, they give to Benny, they give to Pat, they give to their church, they give to their neighbors. Remember 9/11 and the giving of your people. Yes, the citizens gave, but many in the House of God did give also, over and above. Remember what has been given, Lord.

And we ask that you would stretch the monies of our households. Give us new ideas, ways to save that we may never have even thought of: new ideas at work, new ways to save our employers money, new ways to save the Church money.

Lord, may we be free of the financial burdens in our lives, so that our prayer times can be free to just love you and enjoy your presence, free to enjoy your love, free to enjoy your good pleasure.

We ask this all in Jesus Name. Thank you for hearing our requests. Amen.
