Standing
When There Is Nothing Underneath You
Susan Cummings
We have entered a season of change that has passed the point of no return. We have crossed over into a time of absolute revolution and reformation, but also of transfiguration. All that we knew as fact, is changing, as God challenges our mindsets and ideas of what is Him and not.
Circumstances around us will change but also increase in intensity as we walk out these days before us. There is nothing that we can place our hope or faith in but Christ, that will be solid from here on out. Either we absolutely let go of our ways of thinking and absolutely trust in Him, or we will stumble, fall, and deny Him in the end. Self preservation is strong in our humanity, and we must die to our resources and abilities and lay them at His feet.
We have undergone extreme pressures as a family lately, with no light at all around us at times, and no way out of our struggles. The Lord has a reason for everything that comes to us, so we had to find Him in it, and embrace Him in it. When I saw that it did not matter if we understood the circumstance, and it did not matter if we had an answer to it, all that mattered was that we were totally given to Him in it, and left the outcome to Him.
When we came to that point, then the breaking began, and a release began to come, and answers began to be understood. God is after the hearts of His People. He will not be second place in our lives, nor at the beck and call of our little bells that we ring when we want something our way. It is time to grow up. If we can’t take the heat now, what will we do later? We will run.
It is time to stand. The Lord told me that it is time to stand. Even if we are surrounded by a thousand legions of demons, total darkness, and no hope. We are to stand. For our Hope and Life comes from Him and it is within us.
We must begin to draw from Him within us, and not run to every fix it solution out in the world. If we do not draw from our relationship with Him, then we are truly devoid of hope and are lost. For He is our Life.
We say that easily, but to really mean it, means it is put to the test.
Is He really our life? He will test that. So will the enemy.
Radical living will be the norm from here on out. Either we fully trust Him, no matter what, or we don’t. Our faith is determined by our words and our actions. What are we saying and doing? Our words will match our walk.
There is no lip service anymore. We will live by our words. Life or death is in the power of the tongue. We can no longer afford to bless and curse. It is only Holiness that will come forth out of us, and be seen.
This is fashioned in us through the fiery trials. Jesus learned obedience through suffering and so do we. But we also learn and get smart, and yield and surrender. We must move on, past the elementary teachings, and begin to walk out the meat of the Word, in the Church.
That is where we are coming to now.
The walking out of our faith with fear and trembling. The fear of the Lord has returned, and either we reverence Him or He will judge those who do not, amongst His Own. We must change. We must be vessels that are prepared and that await His Summons. He is breaking all things open, and we will be poured out.
But what is poured out of us, is up to us individually. We determine what is seen. We determine what is counted as an offering of righteousness to Him.
No longer can we go our ways, throughout our days, without His direct influence in all things. Either He is God throughout our day and in every decision, or He is not. That is hard for the worldly church, for we like our comforts and independence. That day is over.
As our family has walked out these trials, we have come to see our utter dependence upon the Lord and upon each other. No one can out pull the other, but we must carry the duties and weight together as Christ leads us. This leads to honesty, and humility. This leads to bearing each others burdens.
Are we really honest when we say, that we will lay our lives down for our brothers? God will test those words as well. So will the enemy. We will know what it means to care for each other. For we are the Body of Christ that is sown into the earth, and for a witness. Great changes will bring radical living that will bring great transfiguration and freedom to Gods People.
The tests only break open the vessel so His Glory can be poured out. We just have to be willing to be broken, so that He can be seen. The breaking forth has only begun, and we must embrace Him in it, and allow it’s work to be accomplished. It’s not about us, it’s all about the Father, and what he is wanting to accomplish in and through us. So we surrender.
At the same time, there is a tremendous release and empowerment happening concurrently to the breaking. The Father is pouring His Fire and Glory into those who are willing to be broken. He is totally inhabiting and filling up those who have been purged, refined, and broken. He is healing, delivering, and setting those free who have cried out for change. Radical lives given for the radical witness of God.
The pouring in of His Love, His Holiness, and His Truth has been bringing forth a surge of revelation and understanding. Great clarity is beginning to be formed as we sit at His feet and heed His Voice. Change brings revolution to our thinking and mindsets. The Remnant is rising up changed, and full of the Holy Spirit and Fire. They are coming forth full of His Grace and Wisdom, as they know where they have come from, and who saved them. They are nothing without their Lord.
The outpouring of Love amongst His Own is also coming forth, as we perceive the Grace of God within each other. We begin to minister to the person of Christ within each one, and to the Body of Christ. We esteem each other as our own self and help them where they need it, as we walk this hour out. Change brings the Body together, and we have awaited this day.
Our family has begun to experience this change, as the outpouring of love and help was given to us through many of His Body, and shown to us in this season. This has brought change to us as we saw the faithfulness of God, through the vessels He sent.
When we give, others give and when we change, others are changed. We need each other, and we won’t stand without each other. We give thanks to our Lord for the family of God who are walking these days out with us. May we all obtain the high calling and reach the goal in Christ Jesus.
The greater shaking hasn’t even begun yet, but we all have our feet firmly planted in Christ, and we press on knowing from whence we have been saved and called, and we look forwards to our Lord.
We have a great calling and destiny to fulfill, and we have only birthed forth, and have not yet fully entered into that, but we are walking it out, day by day, together. Let us do so with fear and trembling, knowing our days are numbered, but also with Joy, knowing our Lord has empowered us for this day and is with us.
Our God is Holy and He is a Consuming Fire.
His Vessels are Holy and are filled with His Holy Fire.
He is pouring out both.
We will stand when there seems to be nothing underneath us, because our foundation is our Lord and He holds us all in His hands, and we are being lifted up to rule and reign with Christ, seated with Him in the heavenly places. We are no longer limited by time and space, but can do all things because of His grace!
Our thanks is given to God foremost for His Mercy and His Foreknowledge of all things, and what we need. Then we turn and become that answer for someone else, as the Lord brings them by our sides.
May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with and in you all.
