Words of Comfort, Strength, and Encouragement

Return To Your First Ministry
Musa Opiyo

I hear the Lord asking many to return to their first ministry: intimacy and true relationship with His Son Jesus Christ.

Many people, especially ministers the Lord says, have become so engrossed and involved in their own ministries and all that entails it that they have forgotten their first and foremost ministry; intimacy with their Lord and Saviour. Because of this they have experienced frustrations and problems to which have dialed 911 to Heaven's throne asking what is going on.

I hear the Lord replying: "Many have forsaken drawing from the well that is found in My presence that by the time you go and minister to My children you are dry because you cannot give what you yourself have not received. Lean on Me. I am the one who anointed and gifted you in your area of ministry and service to My children. I will equip you and I will give you the tools and resources you need. When you give time devoted to Me, I will extend time as I did with My servant Joshua so that you can and will accomplish that which I have sent and commissioned you to do."

"And yet there are some of My children who have forsaken the ministry because of discouragement and weariness brought on from the enemy. When you said yes for Me to use you I did not promise you a smooth road. In fact, if anything I promised that you would have tribulation moments where your faith would be tested and tried. It would be the enemy's delight to see you throw in the towel and give up, yet I say give him no quarter. Pick up again your mantle and go forth knowing that the I AM who called and anointed you shall go forth accompanying your words with signs and wonders. I AM with you."

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Child of God, the Almighty has not given up on you. Don’t give up on him. What he has spoken shall come to pass for his word shall not return void.
