Word from the Lord to Build Up, Encourage and Comfort
Fear
Not! I AM with You!
Today, I just want to send you these few words “Fear not! I AM with you” and
ask God to let them find their way right into the very depth of your heart!
Why does God say “Fear not! I AM with you!”? When does God usually speak
these words? Is it not at the very time God is giving the person some great
assignment or some very unusual announcement? God knows our human reaction to
such words or to the Great Presence that can accompany such words. So He says
“Fear not! I AM with you!” He wants us to know that He will be with us in
the assignment He is giving us. It may seem impossible! It may not make any
sense! It may seem illogical! It may be beyond our human comprehension! It may
involve great risks! It may not be understood by man! So His Presence and His
words often are given with the greeting and instruction at the same time –
“Fear not! I AM with you!” Great confidence and boldness seem to be there at
that precise moment in His Mighty Presence and somehow we find ourselves ready
to accept His assignment. We may feel so unqualified and so God will even go to
great extremes to encourage us. (Unfortunately there are those that are so
overwhelmed or so fearful of the cost that they reject the very word of God).
I have found myself at one of these points once again. Maybe you are also there.
It is never easy to be at this place. The devil knows that God wants to promote
you to a higher level and he just wants to insert ‘fear’. The devil knows if
'fear' can slip in, it will hinder if not prevent what God wants to do.
I have found out from the past that “The Joy of the Lord is my Strength” and
that “The Peace that passes our human understanding is my Guide”. So the
moment I begin to loose this Joy and this Peace I find myself on my face before
God asking Him to reveal to me what has taken away this Joy and this Peace. I
have learned that it always goes back to ‘fear’ which is really a ‘lack of
complete trust’ in what God spoke to me. I repent of letting ‘fear’ even
sneak in through a back door! And I ask God to release ‘His Confidence’ in
me. In fact, I usually say, “God because the devil tried to get in, please,
now give me double, triple and many times I find myself praying, make the
Confidence and Trust in You ten times stronger as a result of this attack of the
devil!”
Today, what is God speaking to you? What are you facing in your life? God’s
Word for you today is “Fear not! I Am with you!” He has promised to never,
ever leave you. Never! Don’t pull away from God at this point in your life!
Run to Him! Draw near to Him! Serve 'fear' an eviction notice in the Mighty Name
of Jesus! Ask God to release His Confidence in you today! Don’t stop until you
get “The Joy of the Lord as your Strength! Don’t stop until you get “The
Peace that passes human understanding back as your Guide!” Fear cannot be in
your heart when God’s Joy and Peace take over!
